Watching and seeing great things of joy

Prayers

1.     Sing a song of praise and worship to God: Glorify His Holy Name.

2.     Father, open my spiritual eyes to see and hear what I need to hear in the name of Jesus

3.      I will see and apprehend great things of joy in the name of Jesus.

Text: Isaiah 52:8

Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion. (KJV)

Listen! Your watchmen raise their voices, They shout joyfully together; For they will see with their own eyes When the LORD restores Zion. (NASB)

May you see with your eyes the realization of God’s promises and plans for your life in Jesus’ name.

May you see, realize, and benefit of God’s restoration of your past losses in Jesus’ name.

Importance of watchmen story.

In this year, God is calling His people to be watchmen. Who are the watchmen?

(i)              Those who are prayerful

(ii)             Those who Pray without ceasing. Never stop praying. Pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

May God grant you the grace to be prayerful and pray without ceasing in the name of Jesus.

(iii)           They pray and are not discouraged. Now Jesus was telling the disciples a parable to make the point that at all times they ought to pray and not give up and lose heart, (Luke 18:1)

May discouragement be far from you in the name of Jesus. You will not be discouraged in the place of prayer in Jesus’ name.

You will not be discouraged in other facets of life in the name of Jesus.

(iv)           Those who are watchful.

(v)             Those who are patiently waiting for the Lord’s return (Mark 13)

33Take heed; watch;e for you do not know when the time is.

34It is like a man going on a journey, having left his house, and having given his servants authority, to each one his work. And he commanded the doorkeeper that he should keep watch. 35Therefore watch—for you do not know when the master of the house comes: either at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or morning— 36lest having come suddenly, he should find you sleeping. 37And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

May God grant you the grace to be awake, alert and watchful in the name of Jesus.

(vi)           Those who are occupied in His service and God’s assignment: In Luke 19:10, Jesus said: Occupy till I come: Do business till I come

Receive the grace to occupy meaningfully and beneficially to God’s kingdom in the name of Jesus.

Note:

1.     For the watchmen to lift up their voices and say something, they must have taken in something.

Does a lion roar in the forest unless it has caught a victim? Does it growl in its den unless it is eating? (Amos 3:4)

Taking in something from the Lord as a watchman requires:

·       Standing in the gap for others

·       Standing on a High Tower (devoid of distractions), watching to see what God will say to you. Watching requires standing on a tower, a pedestal that God has created for you. In the place of holiness. Remember that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus and therefore can (potentially) see and hear heavenly conversations as we key in.

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. (Habakkuk 2:1)

May you be able to stand on your high tower to receive clearly from God in the name of Jesus.

2.     Seeing God’s instruction and setting it plain upon the tables, clearly.

Then the LORD answered me and said, “Write the vision (the revelation, God’s answer) And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run. (Habakkuk 2:2)

3.     Being ready to answer when you are questioned or challenged on the assignment God gave you and you are carrying out for God.

When reproved, corrected, reprimanded etc.

4.     Receiving the pattern for what God wants to do in your life from God:

Be careful to make them according to the pattern you have been shown on the mountain.” (Exodus 25:40)

All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern. (1 Chronicles 28:19 - KJV)

"All of these things the LORD made clear to me in writing at his direction—the construction plans for all of the building." (1 Chronicles 28:19 - ISV)

5. Clearly stating/putting down what God wants you to do is similar to how Moses was able to receive the pattern of the tabernacle from God and David received the pattern of the temple from God.

6.     Building according to the pattern

42According to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did all the work. 43Then Moses looked over all the work, and indeed they had done it; as the Lord had commanded, just so they had done it. And Moses blessed them. (Exodus 39)

May grace to build according to the heavenly pattern for your life, family and destiny be fully established upon your lives in the name of Jesus.

7.     Holding on in faith till it is fulfilled while working towards its fulfillment

“For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay. (Habakkuk 2:3 AMP)

Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed. (GNT)

May God place upon your life, the grace and faith to see the fulfillment of His plans for your life in Jesus’ name.

8.     Receiving from God the how–to build. Moses received how he was to ask the people to bring specific donations for the building of the tabernacle – gold, silver, bronze, blue, purple, scarlet, goat’s hair, etc. (Exodus 25)

9.     The above leads to joy

There is hardly anything as joyful as seeing the plans God wants to show you and then seeing them manifest physically.

In this year and beyond, may you see, encounter, and bask in good great things in the name of Jesus.

What to do to be able to Watch and See Great things of Joy

1. Be genuinely born again

2. Be a student of the Bible

3. Don’t neglect your quiet time, to enable God to speak to you

4. Let your heart ponder on appropriate things – Philippians 4:8: Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

5. Be prayerful.

In Summary:

For those who wait on the Lord in the place of prayer, worship, waiting on Him:

·       They will shout for joy because of what God has done.

·       They will see God at work in their lives, family, career, marriage, academics,  finances, health, ministry, community and nation.

·       God will turn their captivity.

·       They will have testimonies to share

These shall be your portion in Jesus’ name.

When the Lord turns your captivity this year,  it would be as though you are dreaming, you will rejoice and be glad in Jesus’ name.

Prayer:

My Father, let me see the invisible and hear the inaudible in the name of Jesus.

Prayer

1.     Give thanks

2.     Born again?

3.     Father, show me how to walk with you, teach me your way and your will and how to fulfill your will in the name of Jesus.

4.     Father, let me see what will bring about the fulfillment of your divine plans for my life and establish them in the name of Jesus.

5.     In this year I will see God restoring all my losses of the past in the name of Jesus.

6.     Personal prayer points

May God open your eyes to see what will lift up your life and destiny in the name of Jesus.

May you see and enjoy good great things in the name of Jesus.

Remember:

Proverbs 24:3-4

3Through [skillful and godly] wisdom a house [a life, a home, a family] is built,

And by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation],

4And by knowledge its rooms are filled

With all precious and pleasant riches.

May God give you skillful and godly wisdom in the name of Jesus.

May your house, life, home, and family be divinely built and established on a sound and good foundation in the name of Jesus.

May God grant you knowledge understanding that produces wisdom and excellence that leads to promotion and wealth in the name of Jesus.

May your life, family and destiny be filled with precious and pleasant riches in the name of Jesus.
